Hey guys,
Taking a short break from social media was exactly what we needed – a chance to reset and recharge. But now, we're back to share an exciting adventure with you. In this blog post, we're diving into the world of traveling with our little one who has autism.
Last week, we embarked on a journey to South Carolina to visit our family, and this trip was extra special because it was Logan's first time staying at my husband's family home. We were both excited and a bit anxious, wondering how Logan would handle being in an unfamiliar environment.
To make the journey smoother, we decided to travel partly through the night. We hit the road around 1:30 AM, aiming to make the most of Logan's sleep time and minimize disruptions. It was a roughly 9-hour trip, and we arrived around 10 AM, just as the day was starting.
One of our tried-and-true travel companions is the Amazon Kids Fire Tablet. These tablets have been our go-to for years, and they're worth every penny. With the added benefit of the worry-free warranty, which means Amazon will replace them for free one time if they break, it's a stress-free solution for keeping Logan entertained and engaged during the journey.

Throughout the week, we soaked up quality family time. Logan was a little champ, embracing the new experiences with enthusiasm. He splashed and played in the pool, sharing laughs with Maw Maw and Paw Paw. One of the highlights was when Logan got to join Dad and Paw Paw on the boat – a thrilling adventure that brought a big smile to his face.
And let's not forget the joy of zooming around in golf carts and 4-wheelers. Logan's excitement was palpable as he took in the sights and sounds of the great outdoors. Plus, he got to meet Grayson, my adorable nephew, forging a new bond that warmed our hearts.
Traveling with a child on the autism spectrum may have its unique challenges, but it's moments like these that remind us of the beauty and resilience of our little ones. We're grateful for the memories we made and the connections we strengthened during our time in South Carolina.
Stay tuned for more travel tales and insights as we continue to explore the world alongside our amazing Logan.
Until next time,
The Geiter's
